Seamlessly lookup customers and club members within CellarPass while providing automated discounts and exclusive experiences.
CellarPass is pleased to provide real-time integration with the Shopify platform, allowing you to extend the power of the CellarPass platform into Shopify. Some of the high-level features are:
ENABLING THE CELLARPASS + SHOPIFY INTEGRATION
The integration with Shopify is not a standard feature of CellarPass, therefore you must place a request to have the service enabled. To do so, create a support ticket. We will update your ticket with next steps and final approval.
CONNECTING CELLARPASS TO SHOPIFY
Once our team has enabled the Shopify connection, you must provide some credentials allowing the CellarPass platform to connect to your Shopify store. There are two steps for completing this process which a) entails retrieving the security information from within Shopify store to then b) take that information and enter into your CellarPass admin panel.
NOTE: You must have Admin-level access to your Shopify and CellarPass accounts to complete the following steps.
NOTE We do not recommend rekeying the API Credentials manually. You should copy and paste it to make sure it's entered exactly as it's stored in Shopify.
TESTING THE CONNECTION FROM CELLARPASS TO SHOPIFY
Once you have entered the API credentials, the next step is to verify the connection is operational and responding.
USING THE CELLARPASS CONNECTION
There's several other areas, but those are done in code directly to and from Shopify. We'll cover the major sections here.
LOOKING UP GUESTS WHEN BOOKING RESERVATIONS
One of the biggest benefits of connecting CellarPass to your Shopify store is the ability to look up customers stored in Shopify within CellarPass, particularly when booking a reservation via the CellarPass admin panel, the CellarPass TablePro or the CellarPass Guest Link apps.
ADDING NEW GUESTS TO SHOPIFY WHEN BOOKING RESERVATIONS
One of the biggest benefits of connecting CellarPass to your Shopify store is the ability to look up customers stored in Shopify within CellarPass, particularly when booking a reservation via the CellarPass admin panel, CellarPass website, CellarPass booking engine (widget), the CellarPass TablePro or the CellarPass Guest Link apps. When a guest is booked, CellarPass will automatically connect to your Shopify store to check to see if this customer already exists or not. If the email address used to book the reservation is not located in your Shopify store, CellarPass will request Shopify to add the customer record.
This will include the guest's First Name, Last Name, Phone, Email Address and Zip Code.
AUTOMATING DISCOUNTS FOR SHOPIFY CUSTOMERS
CellarPass can be setup to automatically discount your Shopify customers based on Customer Tags assigned to their individual customer record. To learn more about this feature, read this article.
For further assistance with troubleshooting your connection, we recommend the following steps:
1. In the CellarPass admin panel, go to "Business" from the left-hand main menu.
2. Select "Apps & Integrations"
3. Scroll down to the Shopify section. Click the section to expand it if it's not already expanded.
4. Click the "Test Login" button.
5. If this fails, then there are two possible solutions; The app service credentials are not correct or your webservice, which we recommend checking the two values (username and password) and entering them again. Or your webservice account is NOT active with VinSuite. We recommend contacting VinSuite for assistance.
You can book your first reservation in just a few minutes.
